NorCal Lacrosse Chapter Help Needed
Wanted, a Program Administrator for the Visiting Coaches Program (VCP)
Desription:
The VCP provides volunteer Visiting
Coaches to attend team practice sessions on a part time basis to
discuss and demonstrate their particular area(s) of experience and
expertise. They might also attend a scrimmage or game and provide a
post-game critique or fill in for a team coach who is unable to coach
for a short period of time. (For a more complete description view our VCP page)
The VCP Administrator recruits
Visiting Coaches, summarizes their background skills and abilities,
gets this information onto the Chapter's webb site
(www.uslacrossepacific.org), monitors the use of the system and the
values provided, follows up on problems and improvement areas, and
keeps the Board and participants informed on all aspects of the
Program.
Qualifications:
• A general understanding of the game of lacrosse and the functions
and needs of lacrosse coaches
• An interest in promoting the program and recruiting qualified men
and women Visiting Coaches
• The ability to oversee a program, evaluate it's effectiveness, and
propose needed changes.
Estimated time requirements (For about 4 months around the playing season):
Approximately 3-4 hours per week *
* Note: The VCP was initiated for the 2006 season. While the basic system
structure is in place, it needs to be rejuvenated. This might
require
some additional time.

Practices are weeknights 6:30 pm - 9:00
