FREE PROFESSIONAL LACROSSE GAME FEATURING SAN JOSE STEALTH SET FOR NOVEMBER 15

SAN JOSE - The Bay Area's newest addition to the sports scene, the San Jose Stealth, kick off their inaugural National Lacrosse League (NLL) season with an introductory "Free Exhibition Game," presented by Orchard Supply Hardware, against the Anaheim Storm directly following the Sharks vs. Maple Leafs on Saturday, Nov.15 at HP Pavilion at San Jose.

HP Pavilion will open its doors to the public immediately following the conclusion of the Sharks game at approximately 10 p.m. Fans attending the Sharks game are welcome to stay and watch the lacrosse match along with other fans interested in checking out the action. There will be no charge for fans attending the lacrosse game only.

Just prior to and during the exhibition game, $1 hot dogs, $1 beers and $1 sodas will be sold at the concourse concession stands.

After just concluding the NLL draft on Oct. 25, the Stealth are geared up for training camp at HP Pavilion at San Jose on Nov. 8-9. Training camp is open to the public and the media to attend. The full roster of 23 players and several other local athletes looking to make the team will be attending the training camp getting ready for the home opener on Jan. 10 at HP Pavilion at San Jose.

The NLL is North America's professional indoor lacrosse league, featuring the best lacrosse players in the world. The NLL currently has ten teams playing in major markets throughout the United States and Canada. Along with the Stealth these teams include the: Anaheim Storm, Buffalo Bandits, Calgary Roughnecks, Colorado Mammoth, Philadelphia Wings, Rochester Knighthawks, Toronto Rock, Vancouver Ravens and new team in Phoenix which is yet to be named. Each team plays a sixteen-game regular season schedule from late December through April, with all games played on weekends.

NLL teams play in the same arenas used by the NHL and NBA teams of their respective markets. The league's average attendance is approximately 9,000 fans per game.
