There is much interesting and valuable information about the different leagues that there exist in lacrosse, for both individuals who are professionals in the area and also for those who are beginners and are willing to enhance their knowledge about this sport. Lacrosse leagues are usually divided in different levels, upon which will expand next.

At the post collegiate level, there is the Northern California Women’s Lacrosse Association or NCWLA, the California Box Lacrosse League or CBLL and the Northern California Lacrosse Association for men or NCLA. At the college level, leagues include Western Women’s Lacrosse League or WWLL, the Mountain Pacific Lacrosse League for women or MPLL, and WCLL meaning the Western Collegiate Lacrosse League and which is intended for men. Players still in high school and passionate about lacrosse can play within four main leagues and these are the California Interscholastic federation or CIF, in CIF teams for either boys as in CIF Boys or for girls as in CIF Girls, NCJLA or Northern California Junior Lacrosse League and NCJLA Teams that are again split into categories, NCJLA Boys and NCJLA Girls. Young individuals, mostly those who are not yet 15 years old can play lacrosse in the Juniors league meaning the Northern California Junior Lacrosse League for Girls and Northern California Junior Lacrosse League for Boys or the very young enthusiasts can try out the Pups as in Northern California Junior Lacrosse league for Boys only.

Lacrosse is the national summer sport in Canada, but this game has constantly gained popularity among Americans and which still seems to be the favorite among many American children and adults. Having all these leagues to play in makes it even easier for the players to follow their dream of lacrosse glory and fame, or discover them since they are very young.
